Put It On The Page is for Black women writers of all types and all levels of experience. Our program is designed to offer inspiration, community, and dedicated writing time for writers with publishing credits and/or active works in progress, but we also welcome participants who are newly exploring writing as an outlet. Each person’s unique background makes the retreat experience more vibrant!

Four days and three nights, beginning Thursday afternoon and continuing into Sunday afternoon.

Put It On The Page combines three components:

  1. Find Inspiration in the Black American experience through visits to Montgomery’s nationally-recognized historical sites
  2. Find Community in group discussions, writing workshops, and author circles with your retreat cohort and special guest speakers.
  3. Find Your Voice during solo time set aside for you to reflect, read, and write – with a chance to share your work during the program’s closing brunch.
